Same is for people aged 18 and over. There is one age check, at the start, and it is the only one.

Behaviour

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behaviour towards other people. If you post it or do it, your account can be removed without notice and without a refund of anything.

If your account is removed you will be told when you next open the app, and you can write to us and a person will read it. Deleting your account yourself does not undo a decision we have already made.

You can block anybody, from their profile or from a plan. Blocking works both ways at once: they stop reaching you and you stop reaching them. Nobody is told they have been blocked.

Reporting a person sends us their name, their photo, and whatever you choose to write. We read reports and act on them within 24 hours. You are not told what we decided, because that would be news about somebody else.

A report is kept until it has been dealt with, and for 30 days after that, and then it is deleted. If an account is removed, the fact that it was removed is kept for longer, so that the decision cannot be undone by deleting the account and starting again.

What we hold

Your answers, your name, your photograph, your date of birth, and who you are friends with. Your answers are only ever shown to somebody who has answered the same question, and only where you are friends.

Your photograph is checked on your own phone to confirm it shows one face. The image is not sent anywhere for that check and nothing about your face is stored beyond the photograph itself.

There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and nothing about you is sold or given to anybody. There is no third party in this app at all.

Plans and messages

A plan is temporary. It closes after a few days of quiet, or after about a month if you two are friends, and once it has closed neither of you can write in it again.

You can still read it. A closed plan stays in your Plans tab, as a conversation you can open but not add to, and you can delete it from your own list at any time with a swipe. Deleting it removes your copy. The other person keeps theirs, in the same way you keep yours if they delete it first.

Twelve months after a plan closes, its messages are deleted, for both of you and for us. What is left is the line saying what the plan was about, with no conversation behind it. That is the longest we keep anything in this app.

While they exist, those messages are readable by the two people who wrote them, and are opened by us only if somebody reports one of you.

If either of you blocks the other, the conversation stops being readable immediately, for both of you, and does not come back if the block is lifted.

Leaving

You can delete your account in Settings, at any time, in the app. It takes your profile, your answers, your photograph, your friends, your plans and the messages in them. It cannot be undone and nobody is told.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, you will be asked again before you carry on.
